IronRuby Presentations in PDF

Jordan Schwartz

I realized that I published all of my presentations in PPTX format, and that not everyone has PowerPoint handy. Here’s they are published as PDF:

Download RubyConf_2007.pdf (2MB)

Download Microsoft_ECS.pdf (2MB)

Download PnP_Summit_Why_Ruby.pdf (2MB)

Enjoy!

  1. For future reference you can also use this converter (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=941B3470-3AE9-4AEE-8F43-C6BB74CD1466&displaylang=en) for pptx to ppt as well as other word and excel docs and then use Open Office (Impress) to open them up as power point presentations.

  2. Thanks. Very entertaining just looking at them. :-)
When IronRuby is ready for prime-time it will be my backdoor into the .NET’s domain, including Mono of course. :-)
This past week has been a slow one for me, personally, as I rest a little development-wise, even though reading-wise it has been busy. :-) IronRuby should spice up things a bit for me in the future, together with all the work you can get in making sure WPF/Silverlight are workable with Ruby itself, which should be fun for the next decade of use/adoption. :-)
Thanks for the hard-work and keep it up! Thanks Microsoft for supporting Ruby. I more than appreciate it.

Just scanned over the ECS slides. You mentioned in a previous entry that the talk had been posted internally. In what way did you mean posted — the slides or was there a video? Given the slide content, I would love to see any video. (Channel 9?)
Thanks for the great work. I’m still on the fence re ipy vs irb. Either way, the DLR is goodness.

  4. @Joao: You’re welcome!
@Charles: Unfortunately, it’s an internal videotaped talk where I revealed more of our world domination plans :)
