Yes I’m weak. But it was just way too tempting now that Parallels is out.
Initial observations:
- This sucker is HOT. I’m installing software and the CPU’s running > 50%. I think this will be a great computer to use outdoors in the spring and fall :)
- The screen is really bright
- The backlit keyboard really rocks (my old Mac was a PowerBook G4 867). The travel of this keyboard is really nice as well. Better than my Toshiba M200.
- XP runs really really fast in Parallels. The boot time is spectacular – better than native XP on my M200.
Now I just have to install some dev tools in XP to see how well it all hangs together.
